We design, develop, own and operate large-scale ecosystem restoration projects across multiple jurisdictions.

OUR LOCAL-GLOBAL MODEL

Each project sits in a dedicated, ring-fenced operating company

Incorporated in its host country and controlled by Imperative. Our in-country leadership teams develop and operate each project through the full project lifecycle, under the oversight, governance, standards and project controls of our global team. Each operating company is built for a 40+ year life in its host country.

Spekboom Restoration Project
Description:

The Spekboom project is a native species reforestation project in the Eastern and Western Cape of South Africa.

Methodology:

Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) under Verra VM0047 + CCB (Verra ID No. 5027)

Status:

Phase 1 started in May 2024. Phase 2 reached Final Investment Decision (FID) in April 2026.

Scale:

Phase 1 is 10,000 hectares. Phase 2 is an additional 50,000 hectares and the full project will be 100,000 hectares.

Quality Rating:

Ex-ante Rating of 'AA.pre with low execution risk' from BeZero Carbon, placing it in the top ~5% of ARR projects for which BeZero has issued ex-ante ratings.

acclima
AcClima Amazonia Project
Description:

The AcClima Amazonia project upgrades low-yielding pasture into rotational silvopasture and native species reforestation, alongside large-scale forest regeneration.

Methodology:

Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR)

Status:

Design and planning complete with Phase 1 Final Investment Decision (FID) expected in Q4 2026.

Scale:

Phase 1 is 10,000 hectares with full-scale target of >100,000 hectares.

Description:

Project Chaac protects and restores mangroves in Yucatán, Mexico.

Tidal Wetland and Seagrass Restoration

Status:

Phase 1 is 10,000 hectares with full-scale target of >50,000 hectares.

Project Bharat Neer Vana
Description:

Project Bharat Neer Vana restores mangrove forests and silvofishery systems in Odisha and West Bengal, India.

Methodology:

Tidal Wetland and Seagrass Restoration under Verra VM0033 + CCB
